Pit Bike Service & Repairs
At Villain Motorsports we have been involved in motocross for over 15 years, but have caught the pit bike bug about 5 years ago. We started out with a stock Honda CRF50 but soon learned that 49cc’s wasn’t going to be enough and the stock suspension was less then desirable for anyone over 75lbs. Throughout the years EVERYTHING was upgraded either through purchasing aftermarket parts or having to fabricate custom parts that were not available. Building a handful of these tiny fire breathers gave us a great understanding as to what works, what doesn’t and why.
In the beginning the pit bike scene started as stock Honda Z50’s with modified controls to make it easier for adults to ride a child sized motorcycle. First came rigging up BMX style bars so you could actually turn the bars without smashing ones knees. Then came larger footpegs and foot controls, and then came the big bore kits and other engine upgrades such as manual clutches, larger valve heads and bigger carburetors and exhausts. There is now a huge market for performance upgrades for the standard Honda Z50 and CRF50, from wider aluminum footpegs and performance exhaust systems to complete aluminum perimeter frame chassis and 150cc+ full race engines.
At Villain Motorsports we service, repair and modify all type of pit bikes and Honda mini trails. From 1967 Honda Z50A’s to the new breed of Chinese knockoffs such as Lifan, Loncin, GPX, SSR, Pitster, Motovert as well as CRF50’s and CRF70’s. We can tackle any job big or small, from a basic oil change or a flat tire to a complete tear down and rebuild of your engine or a ground up restoration of your vintage Honda. We carry a small selection of in stock parts, most parts either OEM or aftermarket must be special ordered but will arrive within 5 business days. Our background may be in motocross but we are very interested in the street and motard scene as well. In fact, we have a custom street legal Honda Monkey in the works, we will be posting progress reports on the site periodically of this project.
We have a very competitive shop labor rate at $65/hour and have access to OEM parts as well as budget friendly and higher end aftermarket parts. As we grow we will be adding more in-stock parts and hopefully have a global network of suppliers that can meet the demands of our customers for great quality and low prices.
